About laif
Since 1981, the laif brand has stood worldwide for excellent photojournalism with attitude and responsibility. We think photography, speak photography, dream photography, feel photography, teach photography.
Around 400 photographers around the world document social, political and historical events, report on crises and wars, make reportages and take portraits of people.
We help media to tell stories with the visual power of our photos, thus making an important contribution to showing the world as it is. In order to show the world as it is.

Democracy is currently being threatened from various sides, and, unfortunately, the press and media landscape is undergoing significant changes at the same time.
Therefore, we have taken on responsibility ourselves and repositioned ourselves in a special organizational form
Around 350 photojournalists and people from the civil society have joined forces to form the laif cooperative.
Under this umbrella, the laif foundation and the laif photo agency work completely independently from each other.

The agency represents more than 400 photographers worldwide as well as 40 international partners, such as the publishing syndication of the New York Times or the Société du Figaro.
It supplies media customers with the best, and in some cases award-winning, images from the worlds of politics, business, science and culture.
Large companies, associations, foundations and NGOs rely on the agency’s expertise and internationality for their photo shoots.
The agency complements its sophisticated visual storytelling offering image archive, workshops and lectures.
