Become a member of the laif cooperative

The laif cooperative is the owner of the renowned photo agency laif and established the non-profit laif foundation in 2023.

Around 400 renowned photographers and people from civil society form the laif cooperative and are selflessly committed to photojournalism and strengthening our democracy.

As a member of the laif cooperative, you support this structure and its projects in the long term. You invest in the future of photojournalism and the preservation of diversity of opinion

By joining, they become part of the laif community and at the same time benefit from exclusive offers such as exhibition tours, behind-the-scenes insights, interviews, annual gifts and much more.

The core idea of a cooperative is to utilize positive interactions from the association of many equal members. This makes it easier to achieve common goals. The focus of cooperatives is not on making profits.

Each member pays a one-off deposit of at least 1,000 euros. Payment in installments is also possible, as is the deposit of a higher amount. Regardless of the amount of the contribution, however, the following principle applies: one member, one vote. You can’t get more democracy than that.
